Questions on how Meat is being Slaughtered
Dr. White is calling for an investigation from the Government to implement a national food and nutrition policy to address the manner in which meat is being prepared at the local slaughterhouses.
She states, " With this in place, the issues of sanitation and hygiene would be taken care of sanitation, in terms of environment and surroundings, hygiene, in terms of the individuals who prepare food." She further states that old practices of slaughtering animals in backyard or under trees has to stop.
I agree with the premise that adequate packaging, labeling and processing standards should go up.
