10 Police Gone to Blow Wow!

Well about time they (Government) crack down on all the illegal activity by the police department in Jamaica. Some things have been going on too long. Police Commissioner Rear Admiral Hardley Lewin yesterday ordered 10 cops, who were implicated in the multi-million dollar lotto scam in St James, to retire from the constabulary in the public interest.

The Admiral naw joke mon! The 10 were among 18 cops who were taken off front line duty at the Mount Salem Police Station after police cracked a section of the scam which reportedly rakes in upwards of $30 million annually.

What needs to happen is these people they scammed need to get their money back. We know that isn't happening though.

When I heard of the scam, I said, what about the people who were tricked? Firing the police is a good thing, but restitution for the people would be better.

Retire? How about some jail time.

I have to agree with the other two comments. Retiring seems like the easy way out and the people who suffered behind all this deserve some retribution. Hmmmmmm
