Missing Children, a Big Concern in Jamaica

Missing children continue to be a big concern in Jamaica. People were overjoyed when last week, greeted the safe return of 10-year-old Annaleise Davis masked the fact that at least five other children - three girls and a boy that had been missing.

13-year-old Tiffany Green; 15-year-old Annekie Connikie; 16-year-old Reinhard Harrison; 13-year-old Yanique Esty and 14-year-old Kamoya Swaby's failure to return home last week has left family members and loved ones sick with worry

When The Sunday Gleaner contacted the police for an update on their search for three of the children, the matters did not appear to be priority issues on their agenda.
In all three cases, The Sunday Gleaner ascertained that the police had no idea whether the children were still missing or had returned home. When last seen, Tiffany was reportedly dressed in a blue blouse, blue tunic, blue socks and black shoes

Urine Bottle Fight

URINE GONE 2 Pictures, Images and Photos

Lawd, and this made "headlines" in the Jamaica Star. Just shaking my head. I am glad this was not my "granny" or "mummy" acting stupid like this. It seems the older lady (63 years old) threatened to throw urine on the younger lady (24) because she slapped her grandson.

According to Corporal Desmond Powell of the Area 3 police that exact confrontation occurred on Sunday evening.

The corporal told THE STAR that based on what eyewitnesses report, both women upon seeing each other were quick to draw their weapons.(in this cases was a bottle of urine each).

After a brief exchange of words, including a string of expletives, the wetting began.

They also got into a tussle which left them both topless, the police said.

"When the police arrived on the scene, the women were still quarrelling and topless," Corporal Powell said.

Lawd, the people in Clarendon, don't have nothing better to do?

Be Careful With Your Handbags

Well, as Christmas approaches the thieves are becoming more inventive. It seems we have a group of women that are going around switching w omen's handbags and replacing it with one with a stone in it.

"They walk with their bag which has a big stone covered with pretty paper and stand beside someone who also has a bag and switch the bags ... so they leave with goods and the other person is left with a big stone," Special Inspector Joseph Donaldson of the Darling Street police told The Star.

It appears when you are shopping and you rest your bag that the thief will come alongside of you and pick up your bag and leave one with a stone in it. The police are urging shoppers to be extra careful, when going about their business.
