More Problems for Kern Spencer

http://www.mct.gov.jm/minister_pic_front2.jpg

It seems more problems for Kern Spencer (former Minister of State for Energy), who police are now checking on the electrical panel at number 9 Sharrow Drive, Kingston 10, which Spencer occupied between May last year and January, shows that there had been an illegal connection to a light post on the premises where a meter should have been.

Spencer, his former assistant Coleen Wright and businessman Rodney Chin, are currently facing charges of conspiracy to defraud, corruption and money laundering in connection with the Cuban Light Bulb scandal in which it is alleged that over $267 million was spent to distribute four million fluorescent bulbs donated to Jamaica by the Cuban Government.

What I can't understand is why all these politicians have so much money but they are constantly finding ways to bend the law to their own advantage. Sometimes things that are acquired free are not necessarily free.

Bwoy, it seems as if the stench of corruption has totally engulfed Mr.Kern Spencer, from improprieties involving light bulbs to supposedly stealing electricity in the form of an illegal connection. The odour is terrible, one wonders what is next.
